From its small beginnings in 1967 the New Zealand Society of Genealogists has grown to become 50 years of age in 2017. The development of the Society was published in 2007 in the book ‘Forty Years On…’ and while that earlier book contained many stories from individual contributors, for the fiftieth anniversary such stories were published in the August 2017 edition of The New Zealand Genealogist.
