NZSG's Research Service

The following services are offered to our members free of charge. These are intended to support members who do not have the opportunity to visit the Family Research Centre (FRC) in Panmure or the ability to borrow the resource through our postal service. All of these services are supported by volunteer officers at the FRC.

Look-ups

If you have found an item on the Library Catalogue or in the Kiwi Collection and require a look-up of an item held in the FRC, please complete a look-up form or email ResearchService@genealogy.org.nz. We will scan and email or post a copy of the original record, or direct you to where it might be found.

Research Support

Our Research Services team at the FRC can provide research guidance if you are unsure where to search next for that elusive fact about your ancestor or family member. There is no charge to members for this service.

When requesting research guidance, please be as precise as possible. Please remember to include location(s) and dates, as well as any records you have already found or repositories/websites you have already looked at.

Please complete this form for a general search of records held in NZSG library or websites available for us to search.

Or write to: FRC Research Service PO Box 14036, Panmure, Auckland 1741, or email ResearchService@genealogy.org.nz.
